It may or may not be worthy of the one star I gave it. But I couldn't get it in English. It came up in French I think and I couldn't change it (if it's possible to change it) because one of my dvd players just decided to go on the fritz and the other one doesn't have a remote anymore since my dog took it and lost it somewhere. Anyhow, I moved all the "foreign" movies to come later on so I'll have some time to figure out whether I'm going to get a new dvd player again or figure out what happened to the one I have that has a remote.

I am not a Morman but I know hollowood hates Christians. I am sick of seeing the cross of Jesus on hookers, dopers, murders and perverts. Why do we never see what what Christians are really like? Like the missonaries that give their lives in helping the hopeless? It is always people pretending that they are Christians that we see in the movies. Christ said, "LOVE YOUR ENIMIES, TURN THE OTHER CHEECK WALK THE EXTRA MILE, ETC.

Why are the moviemakers cramming homosexual behavior into our entertainment? For 40 years of my life, I had no problem with homosexuals, "Live and let live", was my position, even though some had tried to force me into having sex with them. But then my neighbor's little girl came home from first grade wearing an "IT'S OK TO BE GUY" button put one her by her teacher. Her Christian parents felt their religious rights were violated. However, they could have no voice in school policies. The only option for them was to put their children into a very expensive privet school. That is when I became anti-homosexual. I am sick of the homosexuals. I am sick of the healthy family life style being displayed as out of touch and that Christians are stupid, evil, and fanatical haters.

Well, I didn't heed the warnings about watching the dubbed version before sending this back, so maybe I just missed the whole point. But I doubt that the average modern movie viewer will find this film rewarding to watch in any way. I'm sure it was groundbreaking in its time, but today it just seems slow, stilted, and pretentious. Of course, I feel much the same way about Citizen Kane

This is not the last Babylon 5 movie it depends on how will this one sells and does. If it does good they will be a couple of more done one being done is going to be about the Psi Corp I dont know if it is an origins story or about Bester. The other ones is about Sheridan's Son David I dont know if it is were he is younger or rather he is joining the Rangers. I would also like to see one on the war 1,000 years ago about how Valen created the Great Council and the Rangers Valen who is really Jeffrey Sinclair A Minbari not born of Minbari. Overall I cant wait to see this movie they will also have a tribute done for Dr.Franklin and G'Kar also since both actors are dead in real life. Overall Babylon 5 is one of the best Sci-Fi shows every made but I hated Legend of the Rangers that sucked and made Babylon 5 looked bad but did throw some interesting new concepts such as the new Race called the hand which are 2 times more powerful than the Shadows and the Vorlons.

The book was a MASTERPEICE! I just hope that they dont mess up this movie. I hope that they dont leave out all the good parts like when the girl gets swollowed in the shark tube and the surfing climax. over all i'm excited.

The movie will probably never get made. I'm a fan of the series (except the lame third book), and have been following it's journey to the big screen for a while. Jan de Bont was to direct and New Line was to distribute, but New Line was bought out and the rights are up in the air again. While at New Line the budget was always an issue. It was to cost $200m, but was to be brought down to around $100m. That was easier said than done and it was a constant battle with the writers and Alten to maintain what made the book so cool. It's being shopped around once again and hopefully it's going to go into production soon, as most of the pre-production stuff is already completed. They lost de Bont too, which is probably a good thing since his last few films were real trash.

Thanks for mentioning it online (where transparency is king/queen) so more can be aware of it and review the reviews (or lists) as they see fit. We don't know how many flags it takes. I'd say flag what you think is seriously of concern -- but ask yourself: Would I want others flagging me for this if I were to write it? If it's a list that can't be flagged like a review or avatar, submit a note to problemreview@netflix.com.

I agree my personal opinion shouldn't be the arbiter of good taste.
I often violate what some consider good taste.
But I'm also not entirely comfortable letting what appear to be personal attacks (and if I'm right of a fairly universally disapproved nature) stand simply because they haven't reached the attention of the right people.
If I'm wrong, I'm wrong. And to be fair, I'm wrong a lot. I have seen some avatars, reviews etc that offended even my hands off sensibilities, but I generally prefer just to allow the "market forces" to decide.

Yeah on Flick-Freak, the more you read, the more you find to growl about. From the link above on The Haunted Mansion:
