Here's the deal:
I just developed a website (www.publicearth.com) that allows for easy mapping and sharing of places. I've seen users (in the first few days) map and share some really topical and interesting things - but i'd really like to foster more of this stuff. You don't need to join PublicEarth to add places to the wiki - so i'm not trying to get sign ups. But it's a great tool and i think it can be applied nicely here. I'll post a bit and I hope if you have anything to share you'll join in.
PS: here's a list of categories that might be good to apply to places you are thinking of adding to the wiki...
