I have noticed more poster art discussions surfacing throughout the boards and thought we could all share a place to enjoy the art in organized catagories

Thank you, too, for the invite! I enjoy all the posters I've seen, I'm still learning how to master the computer, though. I get by, but I'd like to contribute, too. I'll be trying to post some stuff but it'll be experimental first.

Knaldskalle replied to The Professor's discussion 'What did you watch today? v 35.0'
"It's a four hour silent movie, but it's totally worth seeing. They pretty well reflect the times they were made in, with Testament of Dr. Mabuse reflecting the rise to power of the Nazis and the first one, Dr. Mabuse the Gambler,…"

Knaldskalle replied to The Professor's discussion 'What did you watch today? v 35.0'
"I've yet to see this one (I have it on a hard drive somewhere), but the first two movies in the "Mabuse Trilogy" are outstanding! So outstanding in fact that I recently bought them on blu-ray from the UK (released by "Masters of…"

Ando replied to Scone's discussion 'Diana Krall: Live in Rio' in the group Music
"Yeah, she did a rendition of Devil May Care in Rio as well. But anytime she plays it it makes me stop and listen (and dance). "

Ando commented on Ando's group 'Criterion Fun'
"Shot in Helsinki, New York, L.A., Paris and Rome, Jim Jarmusch's Night on Earth (1991) is a series of interactions between cab drivers and their passengers. One of the most amusing from Mr. J. (Still waiting for a Dead Man Criterion…"

Ando commented on Ando's group 'Shake & Stir'
"Shakespeare's Mother (2015, BBC mimiseries) is a fanciful account of how a girl born during the time of Henry VIII came eventually to give birth to William Shakespere. Good marks. Might worth a once over. Here it is in full. "

Nerves replied to The Professor's discussion 'What did you watch today? v 35.0'
"The 1,000 Eyes of Dr. Mabuse (1960) Fritz Lang would make three films featuring the Dr. Mabuse character. The second one, The Testament of Dr. Mabuse (1933), filmed in Germany, is a brilliant and prophetic work in which the…"

"Oh no, I had no idea...! I've always really liked him, even if he did only act in movies to pay for his gambling habit (he was a bridge player) in his later years."
