With "Kink" and the lighter side of the absurd, Harold and Maudeis bot funny and unexpected, and am always drawn back when I need a belly-laugh

For those who can appreciate the lighter side of tragedy, and prefer escape to logic, "Harold and Maude" starts out with dark and outrageous humor. Whereby, Harold (Burt Cod) stages elaborate suicides, attends funerals of people he's never met, drives a hearse in lieu of a hot-rod, all to the chagrin of his wealthy, overbearing mother, played to snobbish-perfection, by Vivian Pickles. Dark humor is all-the-more enhanced by 19 year-old Harold's innocent, child-like face, and his lanky-frame, that appears to contradict his incessant quest for death. And, who is will be the mismatch made in heaven? Oh, but of course, Maude (Ruth Gordon), a whimsical, 79 year-old lady who pairs up with Harold at his choice stomping ground, another stranger's funeral. Maude, by contrast, has a zest-for-life, and a devil-may-care lifestyle, that makes a case for belly-laughter, as these two eccentrics form a bond that will spiral around the hoop for decades. Cat Stevens' songs are strategically played, adding to the scheme of things.

Mmm... how about 'Quills'? Love that one. Might not fit everybody's idea of a specific kink, if that's the intended focus here.
