OK, as if all this stuff wasn't overwhelming enough, I'm going to add a little bit more to the dog pile. Not really that bad.
After each week's play, you'll notice that there will be players who had a good game but weren't owned by any of us in our league. So, naturally your first reaction will be to say, "hey, I want that guy on my team!" Well, not so fast sparky!
At the end of the playing week (usually Tues or Wed, after the Monday Night game) unowned (free agents) players will become available to be picked up for free. However, there will be a selection order amongst our teams based on how we did for that week's games or what place we are in our league. In other words, let's say that I am in last lace in our league. That means I will have the FIRST option of picking up any UNowned (free agent) player off the available list (waiver wire). The person who is in next to last place will get the next pick of their choice, and so on...
The strategy comes into play when you must consider that when you want to pick up a free agent, you must make room on your bench by dropping someone else if your roster is already full.
