Old mini series or movies that can't be found anywhere

If you know of any old great movies or t v mini series. But you can't seem to find them anywhere? No DVD or VHS nothing just vanished. Do you know how to get them from Universal Studios? I am looking for 1976 mini series "Richman Poorman"

I know. I've been looking for Shogun, North and South, Celebrity, Centenial, How the West Was Won, Thornbirds, etc. They've got to be out there somewhere...

Why oh why can we not get the remainder of the T.V. series "NYPDB from the mid ninties from Net Flix? I love Denis Franz as the alcoholic cop and so many good actors are in the series! I am so anxious for Net Flix to stream everything! Ordering movies is now as as out dated as going to "video stores" and choosing movies off the shelf! I do love Net Flix and cannot find any source on the net which offers better variety!

Movies:
Resurrection (1980), which was nominated for two Oscars, including Ellen Burstyn for best actress in a leading role and Eva La Gallienne for best actress in a supporting role.

Mini-series:
The Word (1978) starring David Janssen.

John Voight and some others were in a mini-series about the beginning of the oil industry (think of folks like Carnige and Standard Oil doing dirty deals to lock up all train cars so no other oil companies could send their product affordably to market).

I have been unable to find the citation to the mini-series.

It was a great documentary on the early 'oil patch' and it's shady history up through the breakup of Standard Oil.
