Long time National League fan here. This segment is decent but no mention of St. Louis as a threat to Philly (I think) is a serious mistake. Not crazy about FoxSports, anyway, but I'm sort of stuck with them barring a MLB season subscription. ESPN has better commentators but their game coverage has not been nearly as good as Fox.
I enjoy MLB Network. I especially like Clubhouse Confidential with Brian Kenny.
I'm looking forward to watching tonight's game Philadelphia Phillies at New York Yankees. Michael Pineda is scheduled to start.
Ah, yes. I've actually been with them all this spring. Looking forward to watching the 150 regular season games they boast of airing this season. I've just got so used to Fox and ESPN as the major players. Missed the Yankee/Philly match, though. Perhaps MLB will re-air it tonight.
Well, no matter what happens over the next few days Toronto will still finish the spring training season with the best record (whatever it's worth). Here's The Blue Jay's Jose Bautista chatting it up with Kurkjian and Francona:
Roy Halladay – Roy Halladay will be 35 this season. Barring Clemensian levels of steroids, pitchers start going in the toilet in their mid-30s. “But, no! Not Roy Halladay! He’ll live forever! His 5.40 ERA this spring was just because he wanted to practice throwing huge meatballs to opposing hitters!”
Heh. Megamillions Cain put up exactly that number last spring. 1.74 now.
WTF? "Let's Go Yankees!" ???? Miami's got a long way to go. lol Reyes, at least, is on fire.
Not a bad game. 5-2, Yanks. New York's lineup is so damned deep. And everyone's in good shape, though starting pitcher, Huroda didn't fare well. Don't think The Marlin's are a serious threat to Philly - yet.
