I've just completed my collection thanks to a Circuit City closure nearby. Now I just need to find time to rewatch them.

Holy Crap! I just got the e-mail that The Wire: Season 5: Disk: 1 is coming to my place tomorrow! It had "very long wait" in the queue, but I thought "what the hell, put it first and see what happens." Low and behold, It's on it's way. YA WHOO!

i've been wanting to have a wire fest, but i'm waiting for season 5 to come out first. i'm hoping they include a lot of extras..and we'll try not to give too much of the plot away.

Knaldskalle replied to The Professor's discussion 'What did you watch today? v 35.0'
"It's a four hour silent movie, but it's totally worth seeing. They pretty well reflect the times they were made in, with Testament of Dr. Mabuse reflecting the rise to power of the Nazis and the first one, Dr. Mabuse the Gambler,…"

Ando replied to Ando's discussion 'Baseball Tonight' in the group The Fan
"Nats play The Mets tonight at 8 EST. (ESPN), the final game of the series, with Zimmermann and Syndergaard on the mound for each team, respectively. Should be the best game of the series, especially with the recent trade additions to both teams. Saw…"

"Shakespeare's Mother (2015, BBC mimiseries) is a fanciful account of how a girl born during the time of Henry VIII came eventually to give birth to William Shakespere. Good marks. Might worth a once over. Here it is in full. "

"The 1,000 Eyes of Dr. Mabuse (1960) Fritz Lang would make three films featuring the Dr. Mabuse character. The second one, The Testament of Dr. Mabuse (1933), filmed in Germany, is a brilliant and prophetic work in which the…"
