I am desperately seeking "Late for Dinner" with Marcia Gay Harden. Why is it not on DVD? Why has this absolutley wonderful, heartwarming flick been so neglected by tthose DVD makers? My VHS copy is now so old and worn out it is completely unviewable. This is the perfect gift-giving movie, and if it was on DVD I would purchase multiple copies!

I recently saw again NO SUBTITLES NECESSARY: Laszlo & Vilmos and am dismayed that Netflix not only does not have many of the earlier works of these fine cinematographers, but has removed the online process to suggest a movie for Netflix to carry. Which I suppose is why most of you are here also. I did see where someone said you can call them at customer service to request a film, but that is a regression in service in my opinion.
How does this group go about trying to get film suggestions to Netflix?

You're welcome, Kelli. I just rented from GreenCine the documentary on Neil Young and Crazy Horse titled "Year of the Horse." Although I didn't care for it much, it was nice to get my paws on it (Netflix doesn't carry it). Now if GreenCine (or Netflix!) would only add "Life of Reilly" (documentary on Charles Nelson Reilly) and "Abduction: The Megumi Yokota Story."

Johnny phoenix,

It looks to me that Dress Gray is not on DVD -- though I did see 16 VHS copies for sale at Amazon. If you must have a DVD copy, I suggest checking the Amazon and eBay sites of Canada, the UK, etc., though if you find a DVD there, it may not be region 1.

Kelli,

I suggest getting a membership at GreenCine, they carry some films Netflix does not and vice versa. It's only $10 a month for one at a time. And looking at the website, it appears they have the 1997 Lolita available for rental.

I was really sad when I found a movie that I love went unavailable after I queued it (and it used to be available!). I finally decided to find out why and found this site instead. I must say this community is a great idea!

Anyhow, who knows why this movie was removed recently... maybe it's a touchy subject.

Lolita (1997 - directed by Adrian Lyne)

It is an excellent film.

Can I assume since there has been no reply to my April 23rd inquiry about Dress Gray the mini-series with Alec Baldwin, that it is NOT on DVD and will never be? I was hoping this Forum would be able to enlighten me on how to get it on NetFlix. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks ..John
