Netflix Movie Fans

I saw a movie, it must have been early/mid 90's and I just remember parts of it. In one scene, a woman is thrown in an empty pool full of live scorpions, a guy joins her and they make love with all these scorpions crawling around them. In another scene, this guy somehow gets a dagger stabbed right in the middle of the top of his head. He's wandering around the streets delirious when a car picks him up and offers to take him to the hospital. But before that, he demands to stop at a fast food drive-thru and orders a bunch (20 or so) of hamburgers to eat.
Does anyone remember the name of this movie?

I also have another movie in mind I can't think of. It opens with this man and woman having an affair in a hotel room and she's contemplating a way to do away with her husband. They end up taking her husband and dumping him in the middle of the desert and left to die. He has nothing to eat or drink for days, half sunburned, when he comes across an old rusted beat up volkswagon where he can get shade, so he goes in the car (with vultures flying around) and falls asleep. Later in the movie, he runs into his wife in the desert and I don't remember if they shoot each other or what, but I remember there's a battle between the two of them.
Both of these movies were rated R and were pretty much black comedies.
Can someone help?
Thanks in advance.

The second one sounds a bit like Blood Simple.
The second one does not sound like Blood Simple to me. In BS M. Emmett Walsh shoots the husband (Bar Owner) in the back office of his own bar, then Ray loads the body in the trunk and finishes him off by burying him alive.

The first one is "Flypaper". But, snakes, right....?
