Here's a couple of recent docs worth checking out:

The End of Suburbia (2004)
Escape from Suburbia (2007) Available on Netflix Instant Watch
Endgame: Blueprint for Global Enslavement (2007)

Todd Haynes' Safe starring Julianne Moore scared me really badly about environmental toxins.

My favorite speech from The Matrix is when one of the Agents describes human beings as being just like a virus who eventually destroys it's host. The extrapolation of that is then the virus travels through space to find another host, like we are doing with the moon and Mars.

I once read that if we cause nuclear winter or destroy the Earth in some other way that there is enough energy left in the Sun to gradually regenerate life on the Earth again. I wonder what evolution will come up with then? This comforts me because I don't think we have any hope here and now. However, I don't think we shouldn't try, I think we should still try....

Our world changed after 9/11. There are many who question the official explanation we've been given about how 9/11 happened.
A good and short introduction to this subject of the plausibility of the 9/11 explanation is 911: In Plane Site. It's 52 minutes.
If you watch it and want to learn more, Terrorstorm is one possibility, although it covers more than 9/11. Loose Change 911 is the most thorough video and you can add it to your Saved Queue and see if NF does eventually carry it in their inventory.

Yeah, you are what you eat. If that's the case, then we should probably start with the scientists.

SOYLENT GREEN is the new food. It should solve most of our problems...as long as we're eating the right people. Man, did I just ruin this movie for someone?

A couple of videos NF carries that I liked that are related to the focus of this group:
(1) Sharkwater=shows how killing sharks for their fins is contributing to global warming. That section comes near the end of the video.

(2) Blue Vinyl=on PVC(polyvinyl chloride) which is everywhere these days.

Oh great, sure, now I'm in trouble....I thought I was past this End of the World Apocolypse Conspiracy phase.....can't even listen to Art Bell anymore.... and now you've gone and created a group all about it.... boy am I done for. Might as well baricade the doors and go off the grid now.

No seriously, I'm looking forward to this group!

In my opinion, THE FUTURE OF FOOD is the biggest must-see documentary NF carries because we all have to eat.
I'm supposed to get KING CORN tomorrow(April 29).
The other DVDs you've listed that I've seen are good too. THE END OF SUBURBIA was another good one I watched.
