Agreed.  Also the writing and direction just isn't "Dr Who" to me.

 Yeah, I've read that because of the high number of watchers he ignores any constructive criticism. But as a fan, I continue to watch hoping that the show will return to the greatness It once was. The awesome episodes like Blink are becoming rare. And as much as I would like a new Doctor, I agree with eviltimes. Not even David Tennant can save a bad script.

The Last Ship was a terrible post apocalyptic mess with the women half of the crew taking over and screwing everything up, and any writer who's going to have such plot twists on a not so futuristic USN Destroyer (with fantasy not since the early 1980's nuclear tipped missiles, I might add) should have a lot more study in ship design and USN trends in naval architecture and weapons systems.  That would be one film where I would be happy if they just bought the title and threw away the storyline.
