This is a group for people that love music in films, either made for films or just songs placed artfully into movies. Not only that but it would be great to discuss the music made by movie starts from Kevin Bacon (and his brother) to Zooey Deschanel

So! Vicky Christina Barcelona was good. It had great parts but it was kind of broken into "Vicky's time" "Christina's time" which would have been fine except that it seemed to me that they just spent a very long time building up to the part when Penelope Cruz enters the scene. After she becomes a part of their lives it sort of hurries along to quick paced "that's a wrap". I think it ended well, that is to say, appropriately. It was sort of a sensual story, but never really delved in. I think it may have been the narration of film that sort of keeps us from really connecting with the characters. It was good but not great 3*
superhero weekend- nice! i am looking forward to the new Ironman. the Sentinel is a 70's horror. I'm kind of a wimp when it comes to scary movies so to me it's pretty scary. and it has Christopher Walken in, who I love. I'm planning on watching the end of VCB tonight- i'll check back with you with my thoughts on it.
When it comes to Woody Allen, it seems that I either love it or leave it. "shrugs"
I noticed you are in WA state. I lived in Seattle for ten yrs. i just moved back to the midwest last fall. I miss it like crazy, but it's a trade off to be near some of my family for now. It's beginning to feel very summery now and I am stoked about that.
Hi there! hope all is well and you are enjoying the NFC so far. What movies are on you list for this weekend?
I've got The Sentinal and Vicky Christina Barcelona.
Sounds like Firefly might be right up your alley. It was a Joss Whedon series that only lasted about a season and a half. It mixed science fiction and westerns and it had Nathan Fillion, Gina Torres, Summer Glau, and Adam Baldwin. Firefly is a class of starship and their ship was called Serenity. Check it out on DVD, I think you'll like it.
I though Dollhouse started off fairly slow but has really picked up steam the last few episodes. I missed last week's, but I understand that Alan Tudyk, from Firefly, is supposed to be on this week. This series will probably last another season so Fox can sell a DVD box set like they did Firefly. But then maybe Joss will make a theatrical movie of it like Serenity.
I'm thinking Starbuck was an angel. I don't know of any other explanation. I've got Caprica in my queue, but haven't done a lot to get it to the top. I was kind of the same way about Razor.
Heroes this season has been very frustrating. It has had a couple of my favorite episodes so far and has a whole lot of dreck.
I watched Battlestar religiously. I did watch the first few episodes of Eureka, but then kind of lost interest. Not that I didn't like it. I think I just had too much going on right then. I ought to pick that one back up. Is it out on DVD?
I did not start on Fringe. I kinda thought X-Files has already done that better. I'm also mourning the loss of Battlestar Gallactica this year. And I'm on the fence about this season of Heroes.
