A Small Set Of My Favorite Movies

Pink Flamingo's, Cannibal Holocaust, Elevator Movie, The Day of the Beast, Silip The Daughters of Eve, Salo, Illsa, Lars von Trier stuff, Wages of Fear,Wizards,Alien, Werner Herzog, Herschell Gordon Lewis, Akira Kurasawa, Happiness, American Beauty, Swimming With Sharks, Office Space, Heavy Metal, anything with soul and passion, a good plot and lots of nudity and gore.

About Me:

My first memorable movie experience was seeing the animated feature Wizards in 1976. After seeing that movie I started drawing. When I was 7 or so I would stay up late and watch Night of the Living Dead and The Exorcist alone in my dark room on a little B&W TV. I don't ever remember really feeling scared by those movies, only thrilled and entertained. When Alien was released I was 9 and after I heard about the "chest-burster" scene I begged my mom to take me to a showing of it. Now I have to admit Alien freaked me out (still does!). FF to High School. I met a guy that was into exploitation and we got into a conversation of rare hard to find movies. One of the films on his wish list was Caligula (rated X!) I had a membership to a video store that carried it so I rented it for him and we became fast friends. We would sit in his room and eat slim jims, drinking Dr. Pepper and watch exploitation classics such as Blood Sucking Freaks, Last House on the Left, Herschell Gordon Lewis, Ilsa She Wolf of the SS, (He had a t-shirt of that poster and his mom made him get rid of it cuz it had a swastika on it so he gave it to me) This was before the internet, so there were magazines like Fangoria, but he had a subscription to The Sleazoid Express and Splatter Times and would order many of the VHS tapes they advertised. The holy grail of exploitation then was SALO. He never did obtain a copy, he did finally find the trailer, and wasn't until recently that I finally got to see the uncut film. I'm a fan of cults, mind control, NLP, Robert Anton Wilson books. My favorite music...Laibach, Pentangle, John Fahey, Black Sabbath, Pink Floyd.
