"Watched and liked it. My reviews says what I felt about it, but I'll summarize here.
A solid, if unspectacular film. that tells the story of a samurai and a farmer whose love seems fated to neveer be fully realized. Circumstances keep them…"
"I think it has to be considered a film for the serious Raizo or Misumi collector (Raizo is really young in this one). It was an interesting premise that never went into the places I would have liked, and the ending was somewhat predictable. Not bad,…"
"Recently watched Kenji Misumi's Ken ("The Sword") starring Raizo Ichikawa. I liked it, but it was certainly more of a character study than a film about martial arts. It definitely reeked of Yukio Mishima's source material,…"
"Just picked up the Criterion .
Still think it might be the best samurai film ever made. Nakadai's performance is phenomenal and the supporting cast is solid. The action gets going only when the tension has reached the breaking point and it is…"
"That's a great trilogy. Kenji Musimi/Raizo Ichikawa. I picked it up as a great fan of the Sword of doom film, as well. Admittedly, it plods along a bit in places...but every scene with Raizo is pretty great jut for his presence.
I picked up my…"
"And Zatoichi is great all around. If you can get a chance to watch the TV series, they are really quite good and have a lot more opportunity to explore the character's nuances. I am amazed at how good those TV series are."
"I just watched a grimy, VHS-to-DVD version of Tange Sazen (the one-eyed, one-armed samurai).
Tange Sazen and the Pot Worth a Million Ryo
Starred Tatsuya Nakadai in a great performance. Directed by Hideo Gosha, but really it was hard to tell other…"
I have been absent from the site for a while and so i wanted to extend to you an overdue welcome to The Sci-Fi Forum. I'm a Gibson fan too, and I liked your posts. It's nice to see that 'The Wormhole' is thriving and with so many new members! I think though that it is still really just getting off the ground. I mean, some of easiest Sci-Fi topics to discuss are the large franchises (Trek, Star Wars, etc) because most of us have seen them. However, the reason that I wanted the forum to be so inclusive topic-wise is that there is a limit to how much one can discuss something so specific. I liked your idea of discussing books and I for one would welcome learning more and getting suggestions from other members.
I hope to hear more from you -see you 'round :)

I was a bit afraid that you might be too young to remember WKRP from the 70's but am happy to hear that you watched it. Another couple of weeks we should be into the 80's and hope you'll play the game.
Hi Criss, This might be a good discussion in the music group.
Did you ever see the DVD by Don Letts, Punk: Attitude?
In his film, he and many other musicians discuss how important taking on other musical influences were to punk, while keeping the DIY attitude.
"Those stream settings are for viewing movies on my computer, aren't they? I wish to watch streaming movies mostly on my television.
In any case, I set the quality to Good, and the movie does seem to play better on the TV.
"Go to this page and see if lowering the stream settings helps.
(I have it on "Good quality" and otherwise it would not work very well for me.)
Let us know if this solution helps you."
"Hello, I asked on the We Belong Dead page on Facebook and lots of people came up with that as well. I watched the trailer on Youtube, it looks like a good film but it's not the one. In the one I'm thinking of you don't see who is…"
"If you mean STREAMING is freezing: I have not heard of that
but it sounds like a software problem, in that case I would give Netflix a call.
Plus I think there is a forum here just for that issue (Connecting and viewing Instant Watch)…"
