That is a shame that they are pulling WML!! They air it at 3:00 A.M. for crying at loud. What are they going to replace it with? That obnoxious screaming pitchman for Kaboom?
Do you know if there is a following for this show? Any groups on the Internet for example who are WML devotees? Perhaps we should write GSN and let them know how we feel.
There was a dignity with that show that is not around todays game shows. The host may have been a bit of a square but he treated his guests and panel with respect unlike the condescending hosts of the past 20 years or so.
Hi Emeraldlsle
Sorry for the late reply. I haven't been in here lately.
I have seen a few good movies within the past few weeks. Quite diverse:The Wrestler .Great film and I hope Rourke gets the Oscar. I saw a classic Paul Newman film at film discussion group in my local library called Hud. The week before we saw Cool Hand Luke. Newman's best and one of my favorite movies. To dumb everything down I also saw Hostel II. Go figure.
Last night I saw Righteous Kill with Pacino and DeNero. A predictable plot. I have seen better on Lifetime! Tonight I will finish watching the quirky Lars and the Single Girl.
In between all these films I try to catch What's My Line on a daily basis (I have my DVR record it).
Now it's your turn,Mrs. Francis.
Wow, both Babette's Feast and The Bicycle Thief get 5 stars ratings from me. Someone did mention Changeling to me, but I haven't checked it out yet, maybe I should.
Last night I had a good movie watching night, watched Blind Chance (I am a huge Kieslowski fan) and Run Lola Run back to back. Woo hoo... awesome. I had been in a "mediocre movie purgatory" for a while.... LOL. I was trying to knock movies off my Instant Watch list, so I was watching movies at random and most of them ended up getting 3 stars from me.
Hey, do you enjoy exchanging movie notes??? If so, would you be intersted to be on my Be My Friend List?? Lemme know, if you're not, no worries.
EmeraldIsle, thanks for the response. I like your name! Thanks for the compliment... I love colors and when I have time on my hand, I enjoy looking at pretty arts. I am a fan of Kandinsky.
Speaking of movies, I saw The Bicycle Thief not too long ago. I am a fan of foreign and indie films. I also saw an amazing Julianne Moore film called The Prize Winner of Defiance, Ohio. Love it!
Some friends-of-a-friend of my acquaintance put on an entertaining live stage version of What's My Line? Perhaps you should drop them a note if you have an unusual profession (or if you would be a good celebrity mystery guest).
