By the way, We all have our own writing styles and I believe what some may think silly others enjoy because it gives a personal glimpse of who you are and why you are writing. I see you are very concise and that is great. I don't just write to please people but as an expression. Everyone may not agree with my observations but then they can disagree and write their own reviews with their opinions. However, I try to be very fair and as positive as I can unless I hated the movie, which is usually rare. Thanks for listening.

I did not enjoy that movie because I wanted to know more about Daphne's life other than just her sexual orientation. I know her father played an important role in her life and there was so much more they could have delved into, like why she was never very well accepted as a writer, etc. I really did not care much about the two women characters that the movie revolved around. The acting was good, but script not that great for me.

I purchased MRS MINIVER years ago and love rewatching it. I love Greer Garson, such a lady, and she is also paired with Walter Pidgeon. They made several movies together, were very natural together. I love the part about the little man who wants to name a rose after her. It is so sweet.

We lived in Germany for three years in the early 80's as my husband was a USAF pilot who worked a lot with the Brits. He got to go to England but I never did and that is the one place I would rather visit than anywhere else. We also lived two years in Korea before coming to the Northwest. It looks a lot like England and Germany here in Western Washington because of all the rain. We love it here. I think you and I have very similar taste in movies. I have Bleak House part one to watch and somehow they dropped the ball on part 2 and are sending me part 3 tomorrow. Have you seen Bleak House? I love Dickens. As you can see, my reviews are like the way I talk, chatty.
Take care,
Cheryl
