Australian movies off the top of my head: Walkabout; Rabbitproof Fence (might be rabbit proof fence); Picnic at Hanging Rock. If you watch Rabbit Proof Fence, you might get something from the extra features, which include docs on the casting and making of the movie.
For New Zealand I can think of Whale Rider. Sounds like a great trip you're taking.

No worry. Notes are done only by Netflix Friends, so I'll need to make a space for you so that we can send notes about movies back and forth. Some people don't like to do notes, though, which is why I asked if you do them.
