Knalds, I use FF as well, and http://www.netflix.com/StrangerProfile without the yadda yadda gets me to my profile page (if I'm logged into Netflix).

My point is that I don't get the "?prid=yaddayadda" in my address bar when use the method above. The address bar only shows "http://www.netflix.com/StrangerProfile" which is useless.

If I were you, boe, I would try free-associating about movies I really like/love and making sure I'd rated them. The more 4 & 5 star films, the better. Lay off the 1, 2 & 3 stars, just until you start getting recommendations.

Hello, Ross.

I just stumbled across your discussion about needing recommendations from Netflix. I can't help with that -- sorry. But I did remember a long (and fun and helpful) discussion thread in which lots of us shared movie picks that are a bit off the beaten track. Maybe it will help you find some interesting selections?
