Stephanie commented on droidmaker's group 'Movies That Make Me Want to Travel'
"Perfect group for me! I think the majority of movies we watch here take us to a far off place. Give me some time and I will compile a list for you guys. Problem is keeping it semi short..."

Movies That Make Me Want to Travel

I want to compile a fantastic list of movies that either because of where they are set, or the plot (but probably mostly the setting) make me want to go someplace.

Movie characters....so real that they take on a reality for you and me! Rainman; Bonnie and Clyde; Ethan Edwards; Lars and Bianca (in her uncredited/Oscar worthy performance); you get the idea....discuss!See More

Oh Wow! Your page is awesome!

Just FYI: The Netflix search engine has been rigged to bring up "The Water Horse" EVERY time anyone puts the word "the" in the search engine. To thwart this obvious new form of payola, don't use the word "the." You'll get what you're looking for without it.

This has been going on for weeks now, and gawd knows how much unadvertised-as-such advertising this has generated for that film. It might be a good one; I just despise the sneaky stealth promotion and hope to discourage it in the future.

Hi! I added you to my friends list here & on Netflix...I love your selection on films, and your love of David Lynch (my favorite director). You have several movies in your current queue that I LOVE, and several that I want to see...

Beautiful background picture, it does make page a little hard to read though.

Our group is 50-50 classic stuff (Kurosawa / Kobayashi) and the other half is the anime / Miike group.
Hopefully you will find what you are looking for wherever you fall. Hopefully both....
