About Me:
Self-deprecating, but in a cute way. I'm a closet photographer, in that I keep my shit to myself. A bit of an isolationist by nature . Women over 50 love me. I have a cat that loves to sleep on my dirty socks. I have another cat that really isn't mine and he tends to push my buttons. I arrive early nearly wherever I go. Generally I'm sensitive and caring, but mixed in is a strong cynical edge. I get irritated by people who say they "hate strawberries," because that's just fucking stupid! I enjoy antagonizing people. Traveling is definitely a passion - South America is much better than advertised. I love finding new places to eat. Bit of a clutz when people are watching, yet completely confident in movement when I'm alone. In addition to movies I love music and reading, and I try to spend as much time as possible hiking in the hills of my lifelong home state of Colorado.

Oh yes, it's all very glamorous :)

As you can probably tell, areas of particular interest to me are Japanese cinema, including anime, and to a slightly lesser extent other Asian cinema in general. I also really love European period pieces. But all types of movies fall into the "I love" category, really.

I'm wondering if you should put the submarine in The Private Life of Sherlock Holmes on your steampunk(orama) list.

I find it be both a chore and a pleasure. Once I'm watching, I enjoy it, but it's very intimidating knowing I still have eleventy billion hours to go. It is beautifully shot and a great story too.

I made it through HC1 (in 3 sittings) and started reading A Drifting Life last night too. So far, so good.
