I'm using the latest editions of Firefox and Adblock Plus on a Mac, and I always get a popunder when I visit Snopes. One per page visit, usually. And one of 'em is always for Netflix.

Not one... FF 3.0.10 & AdBlock Plus.
Try snopes.com they usually have a pop-under for one company or another.
IE8 has a built-in popup blocker. I've always left it on the Medium setting and I have yet to see a Netflix add pop up or under.
Hey Michael, how about the URL of a site with the ad so we can check our pop-up blocker's effectiveness?
We must not be using the term "pop-under" in the same way then, because to get a window under the browser, a "pop-under" window, you MUST trick the browser into allowing a separate window to open, regardless of the content that is eventually display…

Go ahead and contact Netflix. It's already been mentioned in this thread for steps to take, but possibly if Netflix gets an idea of how intrusive their ad company is making this ad approach, an easier opt-out may come out.

Most reputable companies aren't throwing viruses out there, so when it's a well known company and you get bombarded with their ads it's a turn-off. Netflix is one of the more persistent pop-ups. Contacting Netflix won't stop them so you have to star…
