A Netflix Community

Setup: I subscribe to audiobooks for use on my Zen player. They have a procedure that allows you to 'borrow' an audiobook and play it for 21 days. Then it expires. My son is an avid Netflix fan for years, but is computer illiterate. Thus he cannot take advantage of the marvelous instant watch system.
I have broadband at my business - where my son works with me - and can download Netflix movies for playing on a PC. However, it doesn't work to watch them during business hours.

It's clear that a 'right to play' chip is automatic when Ken signs in to Netflix and tries to download a movie. One would think that, for example, that "right to play" limitation could be limited to the date the movie was downloaded, thereby allowing us to download the movie AND RECORD IT FOR TRANSFER WITH THE RIGHT TO PLAY LIMITATION ON KEN'S LILMITED ACCESS COMPUTER, for playback on that day only.

The audiobook system - NetLibrary - successfully limits my checkout time to 21 days. One would think that it could be as easily limited to the date of checkout.

Adding this privilege to NetFlix would be worth a sensible added charge. WONDER IF THIS KIND OF COMMENT WOULD BE WORTH A CONSIDERATION FROM THE POWERS THAT BE AT NETFLIX - who have been so marvelously innovative. Betcha a small charge will boost their bottom line a lot.
