movies sent out of order

I am wondering how many of you are annoyed with netflix not sending your top choice in your rental queue even though it is available now it says this is happening more and more often to me and I am getting very tired of this happening to me.

I've never had them go lower down then a dozen places or so, and that was because the top twelve all had waits on them.

Noticed it for the first time today. The first 5 discs in the queue were skipped. All old stuff, nothing that would be in big demand. And no indication they were not available. Not THAT big of a deal but I was really wanting to watch Season Two of Deadliest Catch next.

It happens to me often. My queue is all rare stuff. I am glad to get anything. Some times I have to wait and I have two hundred in my queue, that is how rare the stuff I that I request.

I have noticed that some of the stuff I want is more common in the urban areas and so sometimes they ship from some other places. But I knew that b/c of what I like. I'm just unique! I guess you are too.

Head's up - queues don't say "available now" anymore.
If it doesn't have a wait status, it just means its not in super-duper high demand. But it does not mean they have copies sitting in a hub.
They're hoping they will - they're hoping customers will return so that they can get you out a copy.
But, if they don't have a copy when you return something - they have to skip down to get you something.
Also - they may have had a copy for you, but then it was scuffed up/cracked/etc and they didn't want to send THAT out to you.
Netflix doesn't promise first choice - that's why you have a queue. They want you to have a movie so if 1st choice isn't avail they go down the list - having another great movie you want from your queue is far better than no movies at all.
If NF waited until your first choice came in w/o sending you anything else -it could be a long, long time as there are NO late fees/due dates:)

old stuff can get skipped too - older and/or rare stuff would have less copies of it, and therefore none turned into a hub to send you.
it's odd - a lot of the older stuff is actually quite popular, but customers tend to keep those a long time

The only time this happened to me was when a series was next and even though the first disc was available the second and third had a long wait so it skipped to the next series.
