Jesus Camp. Let's talk about it.

Okay, I just finished watching this on watch now and I feel sick to my stomach. It's a documentary about a group of Christian Fundamentalists who are building an "army of tomorrow" out of their children. If you get a chance to watch it, do so. It's literally appalling that this goes on in the US in the 21st Century. I felt like I was watching Jonestown 2 years before they drank the kool-aid.

On another note, I've known many Christians that are regular people, who are just doing what works for them. I feel like this documentary may falsely stigmatize them. These people are extreme fanatics, and they really don't realize how much psychological damage they are inflicting on their "army".

Next thing they'll wanna bring back stoning in America, but I guess they would if they could.

Be more specific. Are you talking about Faith?

If you mean me, I was just asking him about what seemed to me the opposite of organized religion. I don't know what "disorganized religion" would mean, but I assumed he(or she) had something in mind. If not, the term "organized religion" would not have much meaning.

I don't know what "disorganized religion" would mean
I think the term "organized religion" was used in this context to mean that that person prefers to worship his/her own God and savior in his/her own way privately, rather than in the presence of others. Not so much as an antithesis to disorganized religion.

It could, but one never knows. I wonder if he does hate disorganized religion. One who hates religion, and there are some, would probably hate "disorganized religion" as well as "organized religion." Not that this person is necessarily one of them, but I have noticed that a lot of people who advocate going it alone on religion, are the ones who think the government is the only thing capable of keeping us from killing ourselves, through guns and fatty foods, and lack of "universal health care." In other words, religion is a private matter, but very little else it.

To clarify my statement.

I hate all religion. Organized or Disorganized.

I hate all religion. Organized or Disorganized.
Or, he could mean that ^^^!
I know you were trying to be nice Spin, but as we've clearly defined, I'm not nice, I'm creepy thus I need to always express my opinions more clearly.

Religion may work for you (this is a general statemtent for the board not directed at you Spin), but for me I only worship at one alter and that my friends has boobs attached to it.
From now on, for the rest of your life, you can no longer criticize anyone for "preaching hate" (without having to account for it in your conscience).

Just a thought.
Morris: There's a difference between hatred of people and hatred of ideology. Saying "I hate religion" isn't the same thing as saying "I hate religious people". I can say, "I hate Christianity", but that's not the same as saying, "I hate Christians". It's not discriminatory to hate an ideology.
Morris, I don't hate the people, I hate the religion.

There's a difference.
Hate is "Hate" whether directed to people, things, or ideology.
You're right Ewd. Actually I have a lot of hate in me.

Maybe I need jesus?

Nope, Hail Satan!
