Seattle People

Just curious how many others there are, if any on here, who live in or around Seattle. It'd be cool to get to know some locals and maybe start a movie group? A little corny? Maybe...

Interesting. I am from Olympia, you know that unsophisticated little town where the capital is, just south of you.

[Danny]

Ah, Olympia! Do you know why that is the capitol of our state? It was going to be Seattle, but at the time Seattle was better known for their whorehouses and prostitutes. Funny huh! Apparently Pike Place is where it was all happening, too.

Very interesting. Pike Place?? I love Seattle. My son used to live there until he desired to see the sun so moved to California. I have lived all over the World as my husband was once a Pilot for the US Air Force. Olympia is a pretty little city with not so many tourists.

Tourists...MAN there are a lot of them here in the summer. My partner is from Cali, we're actually going down there to have Christmas with his family this year. I'm pretty sure we'll end up moving there some day, but for now I'm very happy in Seattle!

I'm way up on the border, north of Bellingham. Too far for a movie group, but nice to see some more people in our area. There are at least 3 others I know of spread between Anacortes and Seattle.

Near Lynden, then? Don't you guys always get the brunt of every weather storm in the northwest?

That would be us..lol. I think it's all the methane from the cows. It acts like a magnet for storms out of the Frazier River Valley up in Canuckiland, off of the Cascades, and off the Strait. Add in the active volcano and we are primed for fun, fun, fun!

I remember in middle school going to a track meet on the weekend up in Lynden (I went to school in Everett, so I don't know what we were doing all the way up there) and I definitely remember the smell of cow poo nearly knocking every one of us out the instant we stepped out of the bus. Random fact.
