But what is really funny is when my wife came home at 5:15 here I was doing the dishes feverishly and she walks in and goes "what'''you heard me pull up and jumped up to get this done?"....lmaoooooooo

I suppose she tried to make it like a public service announcement for the fetish and to save the public from the evils of the unknowing writer of The Pet but c'mon! Offended that they didn't portay being a slave pet properly? what if the pedal pumping community out there was offended by a pretend movie about that?...and if you don't know that fetish..here is a good one...pedal pumping.org...hehe

Repo Man - pretty good. I'm not a big fan of 80s movies, but this one was pretty fun

It was such a beautiful, and heartbreaking movie. In my opinion, this deserved the Oscar. "No Country For Old Men" left me with nothing -- haven't given it a second thought.

Next up, "Sunshine". Don't know what to expect...........

Permalink Reply by Rayny on April 1, 2008 at 7:21pm: I joined Netflix a couple of days ago and I'm turning into a walking zombie. When I should have headed off to bed, I watched the Diary of Anne Frank (3 hours). It was done about as well as this type of movie could be. The book (diary) delves much deeper, but the movie brought it all to life a bit more. 5 stars simply because of the horrific events and the attempt to replicate how things were for the Frank family and the others who stayed with them. For me it helped to visualize it all so much better than the diary ever could.

I received my 1st shipment today, too. We watched Hard Candy a bit ago. While I was somewhat let down by the ending, it was a pretty good one. 4 stars at least.

We're now off to watch The Girl Next Door (true story, not the chick flick with Emile Hirsch and Elisha Cuthbert). I'm hoping to be able to stay awake and get thru it.

I did like Hard Candy, but there was just too much distraction going on here when we watched it. I hate having to pause a movie every 15 seconds. It pulls you away from the film too much. For that reason alone, I would never review it.

We didn't get to the Girl Next Door. My daughter and I just decided to go to bed and watch it later on today. We do that often and with Netflix, I'm going to LOVE no late fees.

Made me think to look at what Schroeder's been up to -- and it seems not much. Possibly this is due to the hot-potato nature of his 2007 documentary Terror's Advocate, which is now atop my queue. I also found this teaser for Inju, which released in Europe last fall:
