Kung Fu Panda

Saw "Kung Fu Panda" today at the 3:20 p.m. showing and it was fantastico. I laughed through the entire movie. The kung fu is pretty spectacular, and believe it or not, Dreamworks ACTUALLY cast a few Asian actors to do voices. Holy schmoly, you say. Uh, huh. Randall Duk Kim, you know the Keymaster from "The Matrix" voices the awesome tortoise named Oogway (where did they get that name?), Lucy Liu voices the kickarse snake; James Hong, who has been acting since Adam was a lad, voices Panda's noodl… Continue

Recent watches - Sex and the City - Yargh

Saw "Sex and the City" this week - Yuck-o-rama. I think people who spend $525 on a pair of shoes should be sent to a Third World country for community service. It's just disgusting all of the product placement. And correct me if I'm wrong, but Sarah Jessica Parker is NOT a model. She is not attractive. Someone give Hollywood casting agents some glasses. Strong ones! Also saw "The Strangers." Pretty bad. I'm tired of all these characters being stupid. I'm going to talk about the film so SPOILERS… Continue

HB Chow Yun Fat

Wow! Chow Yun Fat is 53 years old today. He's the greatest. My favorite films of his are his most recent ones, especially "Curse of the Golden Flower" and "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon." I see that he's going to be in "Dragonball," which is an adaptation of the anime "Dragonball Z." For some reason, the lead is going to be played by Justin Chatwin, who ruined "Invisible." It looks like this might be another horrible Hollywood corruption of an Asian concept. Making me a bit more positive is the… Continue

G.I. Joe and Christopher Eccelston? Huh?

They are currently filming a "G.I. Joe" film. When I learned that, I thought, who are they going to get to star in that? Casper Van Dien, Ice Cube, Common, Ice T, Lorenzo Lamas ... you know, all of the A-listers? Are you sitting down? Because if you're not, you need to. This is going to make you fall over in disbelief. Here's the line-up: Brendan Fraser, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Dennis Quaid, Dwayne Johnson, Sienna Miller, Ray Park, Jonathan Pryce, Christopher Eccleston, and Said Taghmaoui. And my… Continue

America's Next Top Model; Top Chef

I'm pleased as punch to announce that Whitney, the "full figured" contestant on "America's Next Top Model," beat out all of the other girls tonight. I think Whitney is a beautiful girl who is actually normal-sized, however, if you view her next to the other stick figures, you might reach another conclusion. I don't really care, though. YEAH, Whitney. I did not like Fatima, and have no idea why she kept advancing week after week. She was pretty, but pretty clueless about modeling. Anya wasn't pre… Continue

once it happened that two people went through every review and marked unhelpful and that was the most upsetting. then I was okay until my number drpped then they went back and did the same thing just on the new reviews. Someone or more than someone is very competitive. This exact thing started happening only afteri got more visible on ning and started a blog.

Thanks for the comment... who knew I had fans?!?! I'm looking for a way to send you my anon. friends link as I'd rather not post it here online... can't find a private way to contact you here. Am I missing something?

Hey, I screwed up and left this message on MY page, not yours - duh:

I do have some people who befriended me and we have very little in common, movie-wise, so those are the ones who'll have to go. I don't understand the limit of 50, tho - I don't get that. No, not familiar with GRZA or Hip Hop. Could be we aren't similar either, ya know, but I'd like to read your reviews and +1 them - to counteract the stupid people who are playing games out there. Yes, it would be nice if you could contact someone on NF without having to have their email address. There's one person (can't remember her name - duh) who wrote in her profile that she wanted friends, but didn't know how to get them. Okay, I'd be her friend, but she's not on Ning, so how do I contact her? There's no way.

Yea, they did their show in a club in brooklyn that was packed (line wrapped around the building, it was unreal), and then hopped down off the stage and signed stuff, talked to people, and took pictures. They got swarmed, but made it a point ot talk to everyone, it was awesome. If ya haven't seen it, check the show out, its hilarious. A great one to start with is the clips show, episode # 126 (http://revision3.com/diggnation/2007-11-29mlohmiller/). Just hilarious clips from throughout the year. its a great way to check out what their all about. Alos, on the top left there is the shows tab that lists what else is on Revision3, lots of good stuff. Let me know what you think :)

Yea, its me and Alex Albrecht from TRS. He also does diggNATION with Kevin Rose, heard of it? Its a weekly show on revision3.com (where TRS is along with a bunch of other great net shows) where they sit on a couch with their laptops, drink beer, and talk about the top stories on digg.com. This picture was taken at a live taping of diggNATION in NYC earlier this year :). Here is a pic with me and Kevin Rose:

I have a few theories but don't know for sure. I had started a blog on controversial reviews and put myself out there. Someone told me that by doing that you are often targeted. Also, someone thought he would go over all my reviews and help me realize the errors of my ways. When I told him that was his opinion and I had mine the next day I found I was zapped. However, it could have been two other totally different people. Some people I'veheard get jealous if they can't write and someone else can. People also mark unhelpful if they don't agree even if you write a good review. No one is going to sit down and read over 200 reviews and think all of them are unhelpful, they just mark them without reading, that is very childish. However, I realized last week that the carrot in all the review writing is not the low number we are all striving for but the people we meet along the way, the wonderful conversations we have. Some of my friends I almost forget I don't really know them personally, they are touching my life and bringing me joy.

I'm not really all that consistent here either, but I'm trying to frequent the forum more often after being away for a few months.

Yip Yop? OK, but you're still looking for grza. I'll let you know. Don't remember ever seeing either of them. But ya know, some people have different names on Ning than they do on NF. That presents a problem, too.

Thanks for the message. I had two people go through every one of my reviews and put not helpful. That must have took some effort with over 200 reviews. I think some people have too much time on their hands, don't you?
