Hi Mary, I saw you on my friend Cheryl's page and HAD to visit when I saw your avatar... This was very surreal for me to read your favorite movie list, because I felt like I was reading my own faves list! I will send a friend's request on this site, but do you have the link info. for your "be My Freind" or profile page address on Netflix? If you need help applying it, just let me know. Take care, Artgirl.
I wrote a reveiw on "You Can't Take it with You" because I so love the movie but got several Not Helpfuls. I guess many people don't either like Capra or understand the times it was written and don't understand the humor. It looks like we like the same type movies. I think I almost have "It's a Wonderful Life" memorized.
Hey. Definitely better, thanks. Sorry about the festival, but a silent movie audience could be good - you must've got them thinking. As for the worst projects getting mentioned, look at the majority of schlock that gets attention from the masses. No worries, keep truckin!
Hey there, glad to see back. Hope things are better for you in your current situation. Thanks for asking about the movie. I put it on hold for a few weeks while i took on the 48 Hour Film Fest. Just got the festival results today, and not a single award or mention despite that two of the worst projects in the competition received mention. According to feedback, my terrible short shocked the audience into complete silence.....
Just FYI: The Netflix search engine has been rigged to bring up "The Water Horse" EVERY time anyone puts the word "the" in the search engine. To thwart this obvious new form of payola, don't use the word "the." You'll get what you're looking for without it.
This has been going on for weeks now, and gawd knows how much unadvertised-as-such advertising this has generated for that film. It might be a good one; I just despise the sneaky stealth promotion and hope to discourage it in the future.
Hi, My name is Cheryl Bailey and I am new to this classics movie group. I noticed yoyr name was Bailey too so I took a look at your page. Most of your favorites are my favorites too. I was so happy to see You Can't Take it With You on your faves list. I wrote in a review that it was one of Capra's best but I guess many people don't appreciate it. I love Capra!! Thanks for letting me stop by.
I remember you mentioning that your significant other was returning from an extended "vacation," so I can understand some of the drama that might result. Hopefully, it isn't too stressfull for you.
THE RED BALLON, wow, I haven't seen that one in decades. Probably, since about the same time you frist saw it. Glad to hear it holds up. I wouldn't mind watching it again and sharing it with other children, but I think my nieces and nephews are all a little too jaded to appreciate that one.
The movie is going well. Did some location scouting and shot some test footage yesterday. Thanks for asking!
