At 2:42pm on July 14th, 2008, Moviebunny said…: I have to gush about Hellboy II, rarely is a sequel as good as this one. The script is both intelligent (well within comic book confines) and well-written with the requisite action (HB really takes a beating in this one) but also plenty of humor. Ron Pearlman, who too often hides under his make-up, imbues his hero humanity, humor, and a cynicism that makes him all the more human. It may go a little over the top in places, but it's pretty to look at, exciting to watch, and may be this summer's best action flick.
